What Shift in 5 is—and is not.
Is this a full employee scheduling system?
No. It is a focused shift schedule generator. It does not replace payroll, attendance, time clocks, or HR software.
Do employees need accounts?
No. The planned output includes an overall staff schedule and individual schedule images that a manager can share directly.
What happens if the rules are impossible?
The validator identifies the staffing conflict and explains which requirement needs to change rather than returning an invalid schedule.
Is staff scheduling data stored permanently?
The product is being designed to minimize retention. Staff names and schedules will not be kept as a permanent employee database.
